3PL relocates parcel operations
09 January 2025
The new space in Basildon is more than seven times the size of its previous warehouse and features advanced technology and logistics systems that will streamline parcel handling for Pro Carrier and significantly increase the capacity of processing per hour.
HAVING OUTGROWN its previous facility due to high demand, the upgraded machinery will operate consistently for longer periods of time, handling high volumes faster and with more accuracy.
Supported by a team of 27 colleagues, transferred from the previous warehouse, the equipment will reduce the touch point of parcels, creating a transformed processing centre for Pro Carrier.
Pro Carrier operations director Mike Sibley, says: “With increased capacity and modernised systems, we’re primed to scale our operations, improve efficiency and continue delivering a high-quality service to our customers quickly and reliably.
“We already have additional improvements to our processing lined up for 2025 and look forward to being able to demonstrate the added value to our customers.”
