JUNGHEINRICH IS automating the logistics centre of Sartorius Stedim Biotech, a partner to the biopharmaceutical industry.
The integrator will install a state-of-the-art automation solution in the future logistics centre at the Sartorius Stedim Biotech headquarters in Aubagne, France. Construction work is scheduled to begin this year. With the new Jungheinrich solution, Sartorius is further developing its intralogistics and at the same time increasing efficiency, flexibility and productivity.
The new logistics centre, which is scheduled to open at the beginning of 2025, includes several solutions: storage takes place in a high-bay warehouse for pallets, which is served by three automated narrow-aisle forklifts of the type EKX 516ka, as well as in an automatic small parts warehouse, which is operated via pallet conveyor and container technology systems is connected. A buffer warehouse will also be built in which picking workstations will be supplied according to the goods-to-person principle. The connection to the production area is also automated via EKS 215a mobile robots. The entire system is also controlled by the Jungheinrich Warehouse Control System. LogiMAT takes places in Stuttgart from March 19-21, 2024. Stand 9B21
