PAUL WILL lead the effort in strengthening the Baumann dealer network throughout the U.S. and Canada. Working closely with CEO Rob Alling, Paul will bring a wealth of materials handling experience to bear. Baumann USA counts major businesses such Lockheed Martin, Charter Steel and Benteler amongst its many customers.
“Our history in the USA goes back decades and we are very pleased to welcome Paul to the team,” says managing director, Klaus Pirpamer. “Under Rob’s guidance, we have made excellent strides in heavy industries, particularly steel, where our large capacity trucks are very well received. We strongly believe there is a market for medium capacity range too and we see excellent growth potential in the coming years.”
Baumann has made sideloaders for over 55 years, and electric versions since the early 1990s. The machine itself was born out of the needs of the timber trade. The unique ability to carry long loads securely on their bed made them ideal for the job, and have since proved vital for steel, plastics, concrete and other businesses.
Paul comes from Hyundai Material Handling where he was responsible for directing dealer development, national accounts, and government sales. He was a key contributor to Hyundai’s rise in the North American market over the past twelve years.
He has also been involved with organisations such as MHEDA and NPCA (National Precast Concrete Association,) and will continue to be going forward.
“Paul is a great fit for our organisation,” said Rob Alling, President, and CEO of Baumann USA. “He comes highly regarded, and his relationships with forklift dealers throughout North Americas, in addition to his experience working with major accounts in the precast, steel, and lumber industries is what we were looking for to help grow our presence in the U.S. and Canada,” added Alling.
“There is untapped potential for the use of heavy duty sideloaders in North America, and I am excited to be representing Baumann, a brand with a reputation for quality and design, much like the Hyundai big trucks I represented for many years” Bilson said.
Baumann is a world-class manufacturer of heavy duty sideloaders from 3 to 50 tonnes capacity for precast concrete, timber, steel, and other heavy industries, with a reputation for consistent innovation, and the highest level of quality and reliability Based in Cavaion, Italy, the privately held company has led the sector for over 50 years, and now sells its lift trucks worldwide in 76 countries.
