THE FACILITY on a 4.5 acre plot will total 20,400 ft2 and is currently being built by Glencar. Construction began in October 2023 with the building
expected to take 24 weeks to build, to be completed by early April 2024.
The new hub and depot will provide DX with significant additional regional capacity, improve efficiency by reducing stem mileage, delivering environmental and
customer service benefits. It will replace an existing freight depot in Nottingham, which will become a dedicated two-man supersite.
New Stanton Park has outline planning permission for the construction of 2.6m sq ft of industrial/warehouse units from 11,000 ft2 up to 1,068,00 ft2 in a single building with the potential to deliver up to 4,000 new jobs once fully developed. The site has a very substantial power connection of 31mva and can accommodate high volume water connections. It is located just 2.5 miles from Junction 25 of the M1
DX (Group) Chief Executive Officer Paul Ibbetson, said: “The purchase of this 25,000 sq ft site will enable us to create a major new regional hub and depot to service our Group’s parcel freight activities. The new hub and depot will provide significant additional regional capacity, improve efficiency by reducing stem mileage and is in line with our plans to make strategic property investments.”
Joint agents on the site are M1 Agency and TDB Real Estate.
