Hiring drum handling equipment
21 May 2020
St Clare Engineering says some of its customers only use drum handling attachments on their forklift trucks for a specific task once or twice a year, or for brief periods of time, in which case it makes sense to hire it from instead of purchasing outright.
The company says: “We offer equipment on short or long term hire from a minimum period of 1 week. The items hired most frequently are the 1-DLR single drum and 2-DLR double drum handlers and our drum rotator model SC10.
“Even if the job is short notice, we usually have the unit required in stock and we offer a delivery service within the UK, so the equipment can be on site next day. We can also arrange to collect the equipment on completion.”
Advantages of hiring instead of buying drum handling equipment
- Its more cost effective than buying for short term use
- The equipment isn’t sitting in a corner all year until it’s next needed
- You don’t have the responsibility for servicing, safety inspections and insurance
The company adds: “Every item that leaves our factory, whether for sale or hire, goes through a full safety inspection and is certified so you can be confident that when it arrives it’s safe to use and H&S regulations compliant.”
