Logistics space for Northeast

Around 850,000 ft2 of space for industrial and logistics uses  is being proposed for the International Advanced Manufacturing Park in Sunderland in the Northeast.

PLANS HAVE been submitted for 861,112 ft2 of space on the Southern Development Area at IAMP, located to the north of the Nissan plant by Town End Farm Partnership and IAMP.

The proposal submission comes after an environmental impact assessment was considered  last year which was reported in Logistics Matters

The EIA was looking at the provision of up to 1.17 million ft2 of industrial and logistics space on a 74-acre plot within the 370 acre IAMP allocation. https://www.logisticsmatters.co.uk/Sunderland-IAMP-seeks-second-phase

The application put forward now 

A hybrid application has been submitted which consists of  a detailed application for a new A1290 junction arrangement and an outline application for the construction of three industrial and logistics units on a 54 acre site of 185,287 ft2, 157,096 ft2 and a 528,316 ft2 each with 10% ancillary office space with a maximum eaves height of 20m.

The wider IAMP boundary was established to support the region's automotive and advanced manufacturing industry. IAMP seeks to provide up to 4.2 million ft2 of space overall delivering some 7,600 jobs.
