New depot for logistics specialist
29 November 2024
A logistics and warehousing company has doubled the size of its South Tyneside footprint having agreed a 10-year lease on a new South Shields warehouse.
3SIXTY 3PL has taken on a 31,000 sq ft warehouse at Waldridge Way, adjacent to its existing headquarters, as well as a further 10,000 sq ft of open space.
The move, which follows the snapping up of the former Pennguin warehouse on Simonside Industrial Estate earlier this year, takes the firm’s capacity beyond 71,000 sq ft.
Founded by directors Anthony Hood and Craig Cotterill in 2022, the duo set up 3Sixty 3pl to capitalise on the region’s growing automotive and advanced manufacturing industries.
Several Nissan suppliers and General Electric (G.E.) - the multinational conglomerate developing turbines and blades for the world’s largest offshore wind farm, Dogger Bank – are customers.
Anthony and Craig worked together at Port of Tyne and 3Sixty 3pl’s expansion has been supported significantly with a business growth grant from Invest South Tyneside, the business investment arm of South Tyneside Council. This has been funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
The grant has supported the securing of the premises, new forklifts, racking and lifting and handling equipment.
