Planning win for Crewe logistics scheme

Muse Developments has won planning approval from Cheshire East Council for the first phase of its 1.3 million ft2 WestonM6 logistics development in Basford East, Crewe.

THE FIRST phase, of the 97.5 acre green field site, will see the development of three units of 146,000 ft2, 200,000 ft2 and 406,000 ft2 on a build to suit basis. Outline approval has been given on another part of the site, to include 100,000 ft2 of offices, 443,00 ft2 of logistics space as well as landscaping, a walking trail and pocket park.
The buildings, which will achieve a minimum BREEAM Very Good and an EPC A rating, will have eaves heights to haunch of between 15m – 18m, two storey Cat A offices as well as service yards of 50m. The developer has secured up to 6MvA of power for the site and PV will be provided as required to achieve Building Regulations compliance and the sustainability targets set for the project
