Preston expansion plan

MONTGOMERY DISTRIBUTION, a member of the Palletways network, has invested in a 135,000 sq ft logistics hub in Preston.
The newly acquired site is undergoing a £3.4 million refurbishment. Two years ago Montgomery invested more than £1 million to relocate to a new depot in Rugby which featured sufficient storage for more than 5,000 pallets along with the acquisition of 25 Scania Vehicles and 23 latest generation forklift trucks across its regional depots in Belfast, Leeds, Preston and Rugby.
Montgomery Distribution managing director Steven McBride, says: “By expanding our footprint with this strategic acquisition, we have reinforced the business to help us better serve our existing and new customers. The new logistics hub's increased capacity and advanced capabilities will enable us to handle streamline our processes and handle larger volumes for our customers.”
