Securing the perimeter
12 August 2019
There is a lot to consider when replacing or installing a new security gate and assessing which type of gate would be the most suitable for your sites needs.
David Bolton, technical account manager for PSM (Perimeter Security Maintenance) initiated a recent project with a client who wanted replacement traffic barriers that were highly effective, easy to see and easy to use while providing control for all types of vehicles. Security to the premises and pedestrian safety was also paramount.
Dave explains: “As shown in the picture below, traffic barriers are susceptible to damage from vehicle impact, adverse weather conditions and general wear and tear. Repairs need to be identified and carried out quickly in order to fix damage but when repairing barriers is no longer cost effective PSM can provide the most suitable and reliable replacement traffic barriers to secure commercial/industrial sites. Whether your business runs from large industrial premises or smaller retail/private sites.”
PSM can also undertake planned maintenance to all types and makes of security equipment and carry out safety checks to ensure you comply with current Health and Safety requirements.
Perimeter Security Maintenance is a division of BID Group and specialises in the service, repair, maintenance and installation of Traffic Barriers, Swing and Sliding Gates, Turnstiles, Bollards and Associated Access Control Systems.
