A-Safe bollards are proving a success
in the car parks of Bluewater - one of
Britain's busiest shopping centres.
They were specified by Vita Lend Lease which maintains the centre's public access car parks which are around 200 acres in size and incorporate 13,000 parking spaces.
Public safety is of the utmost importance in an environment like this, but a balance must also be struck with cost effectiveness.
Halifax-based A-Safe offered 750mm high bollards, which are now installed throughout the shopping centre's car parks. The company chose A-Safe because they were easy to install, highly visible and cost effective. Paul Birkett, senior facilities manager says: "We trialled A-Safe in 2007 and since then have bought over 525 bollards."
