The LX from Yale is aimed at 20 - 30 hours a week
applications in home improvement stores, wholesale
and retail outlets, independent retail applications etc.
Recognising that not every operator of forklifts has a punishing heavy duty handling operation, Yale has introduced an IC engine powered forklift truck designed specifically for the medium duty application segment of the market.
The LX series includes many of the features of Yale's Veracitor VX range of IC engine counterbalance forklift trucks which were originally designed for applications that demanded a high specification and productive lift truck.
Now, as a result of feedback from customers worldwide and the Yale Global Dealer network, Yale has developed the new LX series specifically for medium duty, less intensive applications.
The LPG and diesel powered 2.0-2.5 tonne capacity LX series has a single speed powershift transmission, drum brakes, fully welded frame and pneumatic profile solid tyres (super-cushion/superelastic).
Featuring the company's CSE (Continuous Stability Enhancement) System for maximum truck stability and best-in-class full suspension seat with padded armrests for operator comfort, the LX Series also delivers reduced whole body vibration.
Integral sideshift Designed for easy on/off access from either side of the truck, the LX has clear unobstructed visibility through the mast.
A compact truck, the LX is said to provide excellent manoeuvrability with various options available including a fork carriage with integral sideshift.
Tom Pickering, Yale's senior product strategy manager, says: "The introduction of the LX series means our dealer partners across Europe are able to offer a highly competitively priced range of equipment for use in medium duty applications.
"The LX is an ideal truck for a 20 - 30 hours a week application in home improvement stores, wholesale and retail outlets, secondary distribution, third party logistics and independent retail applications. More demanding and intensive applications, for example, pallet networks or large industrial users should always specify the Veracitor VX range."
