Rising costs of fuel and the demands of customers for increased efficiency led to the launch of the heavy duty, diesel engine forklift truck series in the latter half of 2011.

Designed to use less fuel and be more productive than the previous series, the GDP80-120DC and GDP130-160EC benefit from the advances originally introduced in the design of the company's Veracitor VX series, specifically in the areas of powertrain and hydraulic configurations, all designed to meet customers' requirements.

With longer servicing intervals, increased uptime and reduced servicing costs, the new DC and EC series of 8-16T trucks offer lower lifetime cost of ownership and greater productivity.

Available in two configurations both (155Hp) @2300rpm diesel engine combining durability over longer periods of peak power operation with excellent acceleration and hauling power.

Fuel savings of up to five per cent are achieved through the use of the company's Load Sensing Hydraulics system, which uses variable displacement hydraulic pumps to sense demand and deliver the exact amount of hydraulic oil required to meet the demands of the application.

The Value configuration employs an advanced electronically controlled transmission that provides additional cooling capacity for use in intensive applications resulting in lower overall cost of ownership and up to an additional five per cent fuel saving over the base model.

Further fuel saving options, including travel speed limiter, empty seat shutdown feature with variable time delay, and low rolling resistance and highly durable radial tyres, can be specified on both models.
