Durkopp Fordertechnik has
completed a new hanging garment
facility for Debenhams' warehouse at
Sherburn-in-Elmet in Yorkshire. This
is the second system Durkopp Fordertechnik has
installed for Debenhams and follows
the success of a similar system at the
Brackmills Industrial Estate depot,
Northampton in 2006.
Paul Leggett, Debenhams' logistics
director, said: "Durkopp Fordertechnik met a very tight project
schedule from start to finish. The
modular characteristics of the system
give Debenhams the flexibility to
carry out any modifications and
extensions that might be necessary in
the future. In addition, the system is
robust and suits all our requirements."
The modular set carrier system
covers around 180,000ft2 for
receiving, picking and marshalling
and 180,000ft2 for storage over two
floors with the ability to more than
double the storage capacity in future.
