Two new ranges debuted by Kite
05 May 2015
Kite Packaging has launched two new ranges on its website – pallet wrapping machines and gummed paper tape dispensers.
As part of Kite’s ongoing commitment to bringing in more automation for its customers, the new solutions aim to save customers time, cost, and help to reduce damage rates on packaged products in transit.
The extensive range of pallet wrapping machines, which includes five turntable and two robot models, have landed at a hugely competitive price. An entry-level model will cost just £2,495, and include basic controls and features to ensure a perfectly uniform pallet every time.
Each turntable machine can be programmed to adjust tension, number of wraps and turntable speed. However more advanced models can do even more.
The Rotoplat 708 is the most comprehensive machine out of the turntable systems; featuring 15 adjustable parameters and an intuitive multi-level control function, which allows the user to programme each pallet layer differently.
Additionally, two robot machines have also been introduced to the website offering. These ‘Mobile Pallet Wrappers’ are less well-known than traditional turntable systems, but increasing in popularity. Ideal for oddly shaped pallets and ‘ugly’ freight, they move around the load to stabilise it, eliminating the need to maneuverer a load on to a wrapping base.
The launch comes at a time of significant growth for the company, who have just announced the acquisition of Burnhead Packaging Supplies in Sittingbourne, as well as two branch expansions in Swindon and Portsmouth. Kite Packaging have also recently launched its National Charity Programme, and Graduate Development Programme which you can find out more about on their blog.
