Collaboration in focus with Women in Logistics
22 October 2015
'From performance management to collaboration - how to make supply chain relationships work' is the theme of Women in Logistics UK's event of 19 November which will take place at Royal Mail London.
The day event will be kick-started by Lindsay Hazelhurst, Screwfix Supply Chain and Logistics Director, and Mandy Winser, Director of Omni Logistics & Sustainability for B&Q, who will talk about their operational collaboration, the reality of the challenges and the benefits of the relationship.
This case study and following workshops with Doddle and Damco, as well as Cranfield University, will allow delegates to gain practical tools to create more collaborative, effective and productive supply chain relationships.
The networking group has also lined up The Lord (Tariq) Ahmad of Wimbledon, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport since May 2015, to share the government's role and plans. He will give the group some wider background before its members discuss their main concerns and key focus for 2016 as part of WIL AGM 2015.
The AGM part of the event will concentrate on discussion and decision-making on the issues affecting WIL's members and their businesses and what action the group should take, and which events it should plan to support them with these.
The event is open to all members of Women in Logistics UK. At £50 per head, tickets are good value and include all refreshments and lunch, and there will be plenty of networking opportunities throughout the day.
