Health & Safety key to efficiency and profitability says UKWA
18 April 2016
Promoting industry best practice is a primary focus for UKWA and at the recent Health & Safety event, CEO Peter Ward led an expert panel in a discussion about the importance of putting health & safety high on the agenda.
"It's not just about abiding by rules and regulations," he said. "It's about taking proactive steps to promote the welfare of employees, investing in training and understanding how best to protect your business when things go wrong. We had a great audience and a lively session at the Health & Safety event - our new insurance package for logistics businesses went down well and we look forward to the imminent introduction of a new Warehouse Auditor tool and the rolling out of a new Safety Passport scheme later in the year.
