Cradle attachment for lifting long reels
The extra wide cradle attachment is designed to lift very long reels already mounted onto a mandrel.
The stainless steel assembly means that the attachment is strong enough to lift a load up to 90kg. The reel is lifted with the mandrel already inserted, meaning that it is necessary for the attachment cradle arms to straddle the reel itself.
A ‘bolt on block’ in the centre of the cradle attachment was added in order to reduce the risk of pivoting by the attachment when loaded with the reel.
The lifter allows the reel to be lifted up to the necessary working height and moved into position. The mandrel can then be unloaded into the machine.
This lifter frame has longer legs than are used as standard in order to add stability to the lifting solution when the reel is lifted to its highest position.
