Wincanton opens Scottish supply chain hub
The supply chain business has started operations at Scotland Gateway, a shared user supply chain hub.

THIS SITE centralises Wincanton’s operations across the country and is designed to provide a platform for growth and provide efficiencies for its customers in Scotland by replacing previously subcontracted services.
By July 2023, all Scottish customers in Wincanton’s Public & Industrial, General Merchandise and eFulfilment divisions will have their operations migrated to, and running through, the site which is located 12 miles east of Glasgow.
Its 153,000 sq ft internal footprint, which doubles in size with the full external site, provides an integrated range of services across warehousing, storage, and transport solutions. This includes Wincanton’s Winsight transport management platform.
The hub is expected to create up to 100 jobs including flexible operational and driver roles. This will build on Wincanton’s People Campus model, a flexible working and training solution, which is designed to meet stiff recruitment and resourcing challenges. This builds on successes seen at trials at Wincanton’s sites in Doncaster and Northamptonshire in England.
