Zupplychain enhances offering with stock management system

Zupplychain, a web-based matching service for on-demand warehousing, has launched My Stock – a free-to-use management system which allows customers to manage stock across multiple locations.

Adding to the company’s existing stock database system and working through the use of Unique Reference Numbers (URN) and pallet labels, My Stock enables customers to manage pallet stock in their own warehouses, transfer product between warehouses and then use it to control stock in third party Zupplychain warehouses, providing product visibility for customers with products in multiple locations in one portal.

Working as a warehouse management system, the software uses pallet specific information such as batch codes, BBE dates and customised data, coupled with the Zupplychain URN and warehouse location, to make products easily differentiable. All movements of pallets are recorded, providing an audit trail.

My Stock also enables the set up of a ‘proto-RDC network’ using pallet space in Zupplychain warehouses around the country. This ensures users have online access to the whole network via Zupplychain’s system and are able to dispatch out of and between regional distribution centres at the click of a button.

Martin Elgood, Managing Director of Zupplychain, said: “Since our launch just over 12 months ago, we’ve seen a continued interest from companies in various sectors wanting to use our services to ensure a cost effective storage solution. In addition to our stock database users being able to manage all their stock across multiple locations, this new My Stock launch means that businesses of any size can become warehouse providers too.

“Ultimately, the addition of My Stock not only allows customers to manage their stock more effectively, but also saves time, effort and money.”
