THE GLOBAL logistics real estate company has invested £2.1 billion in the Capital and Beddington Lane is its latest scheme which is due to start vertical build at the end of June.
A first phase is already completed and the second phase totalling 93,935 ft2 will comprise four units ranging from 15,295 – 46,520 ft2.
Prologis is actively engaged in schemes critical to the capital’s future economic prosperity and sustainability in locations including Watford, Heathrow, Waltham Cross, Enfield and Park Royal.
Prologis UK regional head Paul Weston, said: “With continued growth in online shopping, there is a huge demand for logistics infrastructure – for every 1,000 new homes there are 1,000 letterboxes for deliveries to reach. Last-mile logistic centres – such as our Croydon scheme – provide the critical infrastructure London needs to grow economically as well as to achieve its net zero and housing targets.”
Expected to PC in February next year, the extension of Prologis Park Beddington Lane will measure, reduce, and mitigate embodied carbon in accordance with the UK Green Building Council net-zero carbon framework and be future proofed for fleet electrification. This is in line with Prologis’s commitment net zero emissions by 2040.
