THE REFURBISHED facility, totalling 143,155 ft2, was let on a new 10-year lease and will be used to aid ‘strategic growth’ for Menzies which specialises in full load transport services and warehousing.
The company has secured a new operators licence for 40 goods vehicles and 40 trailers at the site.
Menzies Distribution Solutions CEO Richard Morson said: “We’re delighted to have taken on an additional site in the heart of the logistics ‘golden triangle’ as part of our strategic growth plan. We are investing in a new site to support a relationship with Ball Corporation that has flourished over the last 25 years.
Logicor director of asset management Tom Blakely said: “Leasing Unit B DIRFT to Menzies Distribution is testament to the quality and location of Logicor’s assets, which have the right features in the right markets. It was great to work swiftly with our agents on this lease which will facilitate the growth of Menzies operations and support the local economy.”
The property has been within the Logicor portfolio for more than a decade, and according to a CBRE valuation report published in 2015, the building was originally let to Eddie Stobart on a 25-year lease from March 2000 and at one point sub-let to DHL.
