Girl Guides pick Altrincham for distribution centre
The Guide Association, widely known as Girlguiding, has taken a warehouse in Altrincham in the Northwest as its main UK distribution centre.

THE ASSOCIATION has signed a long term lease on Great Manchester Property Venture Fund’s 26,085 ft2 Altrincham 26 building to enhance both its operational capabilities and green credentials.
The Guide Association Head of Property Robert Taylor, said: “This move is a significant step in our commitment to operational excellence and environmental responsibility. The unit’s strong green credentials, align perfectly with our sustainability goals. This modern, efficient space will not only enhance our operational capabilities but also provide a first-class working environment for our team, reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to a more sustainable future for our business and the wider community.”
Built in 2024, Altrincham 26 has an EPC A and BREEAM Very Good rating and has 21,506 ft2 of warehouse space with an additional 2,356 ft2 of spce at mezzanine level. The warehouse has 8m eaves and two level access doors served by a 28m yard. There are 1,122 ft2 of first floor Grade A offices.
The scheme, which was acquired by GMPVF in 2022, comprises two high-quality units. The second unit, Altrincham 38, comprising 38,060 sq. ft, is available to let.
