Minworth site goes live
DHL eCommerce has opened a new site in Birmingham to serve over 80 core routes with a further 30 during peak season.
THE NEWLY refurbished 9,700 sq m site in Minworth, Birmingham will increase handling capacity by 50%.
Developed by Mileway, the depot is located in the golden triangle. Operating solely on electricity, the depot has 13 electric vehicle charging points. The facility also features an integrated rainwater harvesting system and has achieved an EPC A rating.
The site forms part of DHL eCommerce’s €560m investment in the UK announced in 2022 and follows the opening of its new 25,000 sq m parcel hub in Coventry earlier this year.
