Plans lodged for Leicestershire logistics park
Property company Ashfield Land has submitted outline planning proposals for a 645,000 ft2 industrial and logistics park on the former Shawell Quarry in Leicestershire.

THE COMPANY is proposing a three unit scheme that is forecast to create up to 874 full time equivalent jobs on the site which fronts the A5 and is just off th M1 and M6 motorways.
Known as the A5 East Logistics Park, the 40-acre brownfield development will be constructed to the highest sustainability levels.
Logistics Matters reported on the sale of the site last year. At the tiem of the acquisition Ashfield Land director Ben Holmes, said: “This is a textbook Ashfield Land deal for a site which has outstanding potential for logistics development within a very exciting market. We’re delighted to have completed the unconditional acquisition and are looking forward to progressing with our plans to secure planning and deliver a best-in-class logistics development in the heart of the Golden Triangle.”
