Industrial automation and control products distributor signs warehouse pre-let
Routeco a leading distributor of industrial automation and control products, has signed a pre-let agreement on a multi-million-pound new warehouse being developed in Buckinghamshire.

THE COMPANY has signed a 20-year lease on Unit One – a high-specification, 72,411 ft2 Grade A warehouse and office headquarters building at developer Hampton Brook’s Shenley Wood scheme in Milton Keynes.
The deal means the company can consolidate its existing three Milton Keynes sites into one headquarters, retain its current workforce and create new jobs for local people.
Developer Hampton Brook is delivering two warehouse units on the site totalsling 144,222 ft2. Both will be delivered simultaneously to a BREEAM Excellent and EPC A+ standard.
Kirkby Diamond senior partner and head of industrial and logistics Eamon Kennedy, advising, said: “Routeco is a very successful local business which has enjoyed continuous growth while operating in Milton Keynes for many, many years. The company was keen to remain close to its roots in the city where it already has three premises.
“The new headquarters at Shenley Wood suits its requirements perfectly and allows it to consolidate its operations in one major facility, while retaining its existing workforce and potentially recruiting more local people as it grows.”
Kirkby Diamond is currently marketing the remaining 71,810 sq ft leasehold opportunity at Unit Two, which boasts 10 vehicle charging points, solar panels, cycle storage, and water regulation technologies. It will have 90 parking spaces, three dock level and three level loading doors, 21 HGV loading bays and first floor open plan offices. The 71,810 ft2 unit will comprise a 65,551 ft2 warehouse and 6,259 ft2 office space.
