The manufacturer has expanded its range of large tyre integrated lithium-ion battery forklifts with the introduction of new models offering lifting capacities from 4 to 7 tonnes.

THE NEW Hyster J4.0-7.0XTLG electric lift trucks deliver a robust, zero-emission solution for operations seeking reliable and affordable alternatives to internal combustion engine (ICE) forklifts. Building on the proven popularity of the Hyster J2.0-3.5XTLG trucks, the new models are well suited to both indoor and outdoor handling challenges. Operations moving or storing engineered timber, paper and cardboard, bricks, blocks, metals, and construction materials can expect to enhance productivity, reduce Total Cost of Ownership, and eliminate tailpipe emissions.

Hyster regional product manager Eva Nachtergaele, says: “We’ve taken everything our customers value about internal combustion engine (ICE) powered trucks – like strength, reliability, and performance – and delivered it in a no-nonsense, zero-emission package.

“These new models will help industrial sites to stay productive while benefitting from the advantages of lithium-ion batteries.”

Trusted elements

The Hyster J4.0-7.0XTLG forklift trucks incorporate many trusted design elements from Hyster ICE models, but replace the engine with a high-efficiency lithium-ion battery and permanent magnet motor system. This setup provides high efficiency and smooth control. A liquid-cooled battery system, intelligent motor control, and rugged construction, enable the trucks to deliver ICE-like acceleration, travel speeds, and gradeability, with reduced noise and minimised vibration.

Integrated battery

With an integrated lithium-ion battery, the trucks offer fast charging, low maintenance, and zero emissions, providing a cost-effective option for operations aiming to reduce their carbon footprint while maintaining productivity. When matched with the right application, the Hyster XTLG series can help reduce service costs, decrease energy consumption, and offer a longer operational life.

Tyres

To tackle uneven surfaces and variable weather conditions, the new Hyster forklifts also feature large super elastic tyres and high ground clearance. Large dual tread tyres and optional weatherproof cabins are available on certain models.

“We’re committed to Clean Power that Means Business,” Eva continues. “The latest XTLG models provide a practical and powerful alternative to ICE forklifts, fully supported by our global network of local Hyster dealers to keep tough operations moving.”
