Senior sustainability appointment for Linde
LINDE MATERIAL Handling UK has promoted long-standing employee Gill Brennand to sustainability manager to support its ongoing commitment to reducing its environmental impact.

In her new role, Gill will lead the development and implementation of strategies to reduce carbon emissions, improve waste management, promote sustainable sourcing and ensure sustainability is embedded into daily operations across the organisation.
It follows the launch of a major UK-wide sustainability programme by Linde MH. The action plan has already seen solar panels installed at Linde’s Bridgend site in Wales and at the Newton Aycliffe premises in the North-East of England.
“I’ve been part of Linde Material Handling – and the logistics sector – for almost three decades, giving me a front-row seat as sustainability has risen to the top of the industry agenda,” said Gill.
“I’m proud to be part of a company that takes its responsibilities seriously, and I look forward to building on the hard work already done while leading the next phase of our sustainability journey.”
Dr. Arthur O’Sullivan, a Regional Director for Linde MH, commented: “We are very aware of the environmental impact of the intralogistics sector, and as a leader in this space, we recognise our responsibility to drive meaningful change.
“Sustainability is a central priority for Linde, and while we have already made significant progress, there is still much more to do and we are thrilled to have Gill spearheading these efforts moving forward.”
