Football club wins planning for warehouse development

Northampton Town Football Club was secured planning permission for a 375,821 ft2  industrial and logistics scheme from West Northamptonshire Council for land next door to its Sixfields Stadium.

THE SITE which totals 19.4 acres will see the development of seven buildings  creating 11 units ranging in size from 4,057 to 153,730 ft2.

The buildings will be built to target BREEAM Excellent and EPC A minimum and will have eaves heights ranging from 7m – 15m.

The scheme garnered 112 letters of support and has had the support of the Football club’s fans. It will allow the club to continue to ‘not only survive but thrive’.

The site is located approximately 2 miles from junction 15a of the M1 and 4 miles from Junction 16, within an area of East Midlands known as the ‘Golden Triangle’ that has become renowned for its high density of distribution facilities. Its location is also excellent for regional links to the A43, A45, A508, A4500 and A5123.
