THE TWO distribution centres of 60,000 ft2 have been opened in Crawley and Sittingbourne, increasing DPD’s capacity in the South East each be capable of processing up to 80,000 parcels a day.
DPD Crawley is located to the north of Crawley on Hydehurst Lane while DPD Sittingbourne is located at Panattoni Park.
Other new DPD distribution centres include Darlington, Cambridge, Bradford, Guildford, and Milton Keynes with all seven facilities set to be operational by early 2027.
Each location is optimised in terms of transport links to ensure the most efficient operation possible with DPD’s increasingly electric van fleet and will include EV charging facilities.
