FIREM has submitted hybrid planning proposals for a 1.8 million ft2  industrial and logistics scheme on Halton Council’s 96-acre Warrington Waterfront site following an Environmental Impact Assessment last year reported by Logistics Matters.

It is also pushing forward with outline plans for a 756,8000 ft2 scheme on a 55.44 acre site to the north of Bredbury Park Industrial Estate in Stockport. The outline proposals for this site which is located close to Junction 25 of the M60 motorway envision high quality, well laid out employment units with associated office accommodation split across 7 individual buildings ranging in size from 44,000 ft2 up to 215,000 ft2.

Meanwhile the scheme in Halton, to be known as Catalyst Business Park, would see a number of warehouses ranging in size from 1,000 – 500,000 ft2 plus retail, leisure and energy storage infrastructure. Reflecting the scale of the proposal it is planned to develop the site out across five development zones, in four phases over ten years. It is expected that the scheme could deliver around 2,250 permanent jobs, including skilled, engineering and management posts
