Automated pallet truck designed for lorry loading
The STILL AXL 15 iGo, which carries out automated pallet loading and unloading of lorries, was unveiled at LogiMAT 2026.

THE SOLUTION has been developed with a Belgian retailer but is currently restricted to euro pallets, which will limit its relevance to the UK market.
The autonomous AXL 15 iGo low-lift pallet truck has been specially developed for truck handling. Two of these vehicles together can autonomously load up to 30 EPAL pallets, with a load capacity up to 1,500kg, into a trailer in approximately 35 minutes.
The AXL 15 iGo does not require additional safety-at-the-gate systems. For safe handling and precise navigation, the AXL 15 iGo combines two different technologies: Outside the trailer, it utilises 3D visual SLAM technology. Once inside the trailer, the AXL 15 iGo automatically switches to LiDAR-based localisation for centimetre-accurate operation and maximum flexibility, ‘kissing’ the walls of the trailer to maximise the space.
STILL managing director of sales & service Florian Heydenreich, says: “Our ambition is that automation should be accessible to every company size and vertical and should be modular, scalable and cost effective.
“This is only the beginning. We want to evolve from a system integrator to an orchestrator, a platform operator and ecosystems manager, coordinating real time resources, based on an open modular system architecture.”
The solution was developed with Belgian retailer Colryut Group.
Jo Janssens, technical director, Colryut Group, says: “We handle thousands of lorryloads per day in a labour intensive supply chain, with the challenge of filling vacancies while remaining cost efficient.
“We are investing a lot in automation. We have been testing the STILL AXL 15 iGo in an automated loading and unloading process, it can ‘kiss’ the side of the trailer, mimicking a good operator with experience. The system scales easily, so it can bring major strategic advantages.”
