SEALED AIR Corporation, a global leader in protective packaging, today announced I‑Pack Dual, a next-generation automated void reduction system designed to help fulfilment operations use less packaging material while improving warehouse efficiency and transportation optimisation.

I-Pack Dual is engineered to process two fixed corrugated box footprints on a single machine, delivering greater efficiency and flexibility in high‑volume fulfilment environments. Its measuring and creasing module automatically detects product dimensions, then creases and folds each box to the ideal height – reducing excess void fill and helping lower dimensional weight charges. The system accommodates a wide box size range – from 180 × 140 × 50 mm up to 630 × 450 × 400 mm – and maintains an efficient throughput of 10–12 boxes per minute, depending on size. To ensure secure, consistent packaging, I‑Pack Dual applies a durable automated glue‑sealed lid closure, eliminating manual steps and improving overall packaging integrity.

“The new I‑Pack Dual demonstrates how Sealed Air continues to lead the automated right‑sizing market,” said Byron Racki, global protective president at Sealed Air. “The system’s ability to manage two box footprints on a single platform delivers unmatched flexibility and productivity, while reducing packaging complexity and freeing up critical warehouse space.”

I‑Pack Dual integrates seamlessly into fulfilment environments and is fully compatible with Sealed Air AutoPrint system, a late‑stage CMYK printing system that prints full‑colour graphics, text and barcodes directly onto boxes after they are packed and right‑sized. Together, the two systems improve efficiency and enhance the brand experience by reducing overpackaging and enabling personalised on-pack printing.

“Packaging performance has a direct impact on fulfilment efficiency and total cost,” Racki said. “Our innovations are built to simplify operations, reduce waste and improve protection – helping our customers operate more effectively and deliver better outcomes for shoppers.”
