THE COMPANY has agreed a 15-year lease on the 92,246 ft2 Grade A warehouse, known as Barberry Midbox 92. The deal follows the scheme’s recent practical completion, with Widem taking the unit shortly after handover of the development.
Targeting EPC A and BREEAM Outstanding, sustainability features include electric vehicle charging points, rooftop solar PV, enhanced staff welfare facilities, outdoor basketball court, outdoor gym, green roof structure, bike repair pod, bug hotel, hibernacula, and landscaped green areas.
Barberry development director Jonathan Robinson said: “The fact that a high-quality occupier has been secured so quickly following practical completion underlines the strength of demand for best-in-class, sustainable industrial and logistics space across the Midlands. Midbox 92 has been designed to meet the evolving needs of modern businesses, and we are delighted to have secured a long-term occupier for the building. It is also one of three BREEAM outstanding warehouses within a 30-mile radius of the site.”
Located at Junction 15 of the M40 motorway, Barberry acquired the final remaining plot at the front of Tournament Fields Business Park and secured reserved matters planning permission from Warwick Council before commencing development last year.
Joint agents were Savills and Waring & Co
