LAPP develops connectivity solutions for the next generation of automated warehouses
Automation, robotics and real-time data flows are reshaping warehouse operations across the logistics sector. As distribution centres become increasingly connected and automated, reliable industrial connectivity is emerging as a key factor in maintaining productivity, operational continuity and system performance.

TO SUPPORT these evolving intralogistics environments, German connectivity specialist LAPP is expanding its portfolio with a new generation of solutions designed specifically for automated warehouses and material handling systems.
The company is developing hybrid cabling systems that combine power supply and data transmission in a single solution, helping logistics operators simplify infrastructure and reduce installation complexity. LAPP is also introducing high-flex robotic cables and pre-assembled plug-and-play connection systems designed to improve reliability in fast-moving automated environments.
Among the latest innovations is the ÖLFLEX ROBOT range, engineered for robotic applications involving continuous torsion and dynamic 3D movement. Certain variants can withstand up to two million bending and torsion cycles, making them suitable for automated picking systems, conveyor technologies and robotic handling equipment operating continuously in logistics facilities.
LAPP is also strengthening its industrial networking offer with the ETHERLINE ACCESS U Entry Level unmanaged Ethernet switches. Available in Fast Ethernet and Gigabit versions, these fanless, maintenance-free switches provide reliable communication infrastructure for connected warehouse systems.
According to LAPP, intralogistics continues to be one of the company’s strongest growth sectors globally, alongside energy infrastructure and automation technologies. The group reported consolidated sales of €1.93 billion in fiscal year 2025 and continues to invest in industrial connectivity technologies and automation solutions worldwide.
With operations in more than 80 countries and a portfolio of over 50,000 products, LAPP aims to position itself as a long-term connectivity partner for logistics operators building the automated warehouses of the future.
