THE COMPANY has taken the space to service an Amazon contract believed to be on a 3-1-1 basis similar to the one it is thought to have taken for the Sherburn unit  in Yorkshire which it leased in May last year.

In 2024, ID Logistics signed a 10 year lease for Prologis’ DC7 unit at Prologis Grange Park. The 342,622 ft2 unit benefited from an additional 389,319 ft2 mezzanine bringing the total amount of space available to some 732,000 ft2. Eight months later it also acquired Logicor’s 556,598 ft2 Sherburn 550 warehouse in Yorkshire and late last year took Panattoni’s S440 unit totalling 440,000 ft2 at Panattoni Park Sittingbourne scheme, some 4 miles from Junction 5 of the M2 motorway.

ID Logistics is relatively new to the UK only establishing itself here in June 2023 to service a multi-year returns contract for an international fast fashion retailer identified as Zara.

Sunrise acquired the Rugby warehouse in 2022 and it has since undergone a comprehensive refurbishment to reposition it as a prime logistics facility with strong sustainability credentials.

As part of the refurbishment, the scheme achieved an EPC upgrade from D to A and a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ certification. Additional enhancements include a full CAT A office refurbishment, a new employee wellness area, full electrification of the building, 18 EV charging spaces, and a PV panel-ready roof.

ID Logistics UK MD Stuart Evans said: “This latest site acquisition marks another significant milestone for our business as we expand our footprint in the UK. This investment reflects our continued growth, our commitment to customers and the incredible work of our team driving the business forward.

DTRE acted as leasing agent on behalf of Sunrise. Cushman & Wakefield represented Sainsbury’s – which had previously pre-let the scheme – and CBRE acted on behalf of ID Logistics UK.
