THE NEWLY refurbished warehouse, totalling 64,700 ft2 has been let by landlord Towngate in a deal which sees Lambson Innovate vacate a 23,7000 ft2 Towngate-owned site at Treefields Industrial Estate, Gildersome, and move into the new larger facility at Unit E, Loscoe Close.
Towngate noted the deal reflects a wider shift across UK industrial markets, with manufacturers accounting for a growing share of take-up as firms build supply-chain resilience and seek modern, energy-efficient space.
Lambson supplies the leisure, marine, and construction sectors, producing hundreds of thousands of made-to-order components every month from West Yorkshire, employing more than 100 people from across the region.
Towngate has invested more than £1m in upgrading the property ahead of occupation, with works including a full re-roof, new roller shutter doors, complete warehouse redecoration, refurbished offices and welfare facilities, and external improvements.
Lambson Innovate managing director David Bean, said: “This expansion is a significant step forward. Bringing our importing, container handling, and customs processes in-house will make our supply chain more efficient and resilient, and the additional space gives us room to extend new manufacturing processes onto a second site.
“Having worked with Towngate for more than six years, they were the natural partner for our next phase of growth.
“This move provides the capability to grow market share, enter new markets, and continue investing in smarter ways to serve our customers.”
Lambson Innovate will be fully operational from the new site by the end of May 2026.
The property has 8.5m eaves, six dock and two level access doors, secure service yards, LED warehouse lighting and two-storey office space.
Joint agents were Heaney Micklethwaite and Savills.
