THE E-COMMERCE specialist has taken the remaining space at the 194,433 ft2 Unit 5 warehouse after securing an initial 98,122 ft2 at the property in September last year – nearly doubling its footprint in less than a year.
Relay has experienced significant growth driven by increasing demand for its e-commerce delivery services and the securing of new customer contracts. It now handles more than 200,000 parcels each week across the UK.
The additional space will provide the capacity needed to support further growth, strengthen operational efficiency and enhance service levels for customers.
The expansion reflects the increasing demand for modern logistics facilities in strategic urban locations, enabling fast and reliable delivery to consumers while supporting the continued growth of e-commerce.
Prologis UK VP of Capital Deployment Jason Pickering, said: “Relay’s growth story demonstrates the pace at which technology is reshaping last-mile logistics. Since establishing its operations at Prologis Park West London, the business has expanded rapidly, secured new contracts and built a strong platform for future growth. We’re delighted to support the next stage of that journey.”
The company’s expansion comes as it continues to attract investment and scale its operations to meet rising demand from retailers seeking more efficient and sustainable delivery solutions.
Relay’s growth has also been supported by Prologis Ventures, the venture capital arm of Prologis, which invests in innovative companies helping to shape the future of supply chains, logistics and real estate.
