THE NEW site takes SJH’s total Northern Ireland footprint to 83,500 sq ft, up from 37,500 sq ft at its existing Kilkeel base, and will support larger fulfilment contracts across the fashion, wellness and beauty sectors. Five staff have already been recruited at the site, with 20 further permanent roles planned over three years and 10 seasonal positions added this winter.

The expansion coincides with a new contract for a multi-billion-dollar US-based brand, which is consolidating its Great Britain and EU warehousing through Northern Ireland, in part due to the site’s access to both markets under the Windsor Framework. Located at Maryland Industrial Estate in Moneyreagh, the facility is close to the Port of Belfast and offers later parcel cut-off times for GB and EU fulfilment via DPD.

Stephen Henderson, founder of SJH Fulfilment, said the investment gave the business the scale, location and capability to win larger contracts while creating high-quality permanent jobs, as part of a 10-year strategy targeting £50 million in revenue by 2036. The expansion also comes alongside the appointment of Stephen Laird as chief operating officer.
