CareCo opens Preston hub to cut 70,000 delivery miles a year
National mobility retailer CareCo has opened a regional installation and servicing hub in Preston, cutting delivery and installation lead times by up to six days and removing about 70,000 transit miles a year.
THE HUB, located within NRS Healthcare’s existing Preston facility, will serve customers across Greater Manchester, Liverpool and North Wales. It follows Mobilitas Group’s acquisition of NRS Healthcare in 2025. CareCo and NRS Healthcare are both part of the group, which allows CareCo to use existing space and infrastructure.
The site has about 3,000 sq ft of racking and assembly space, with capacity for around 80 pallets, and will hold up to four days’ worth of stock prepared for home installation.
It launches with two long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans for home installations and a Mercedes-Benz Vito for mobile servicing.
The operation has created six jobs, including drivers, a mobile technical specialist, a team leader and a warehouse operative.
