THE SOCIAL media giant has taken the speculatively built 150,400 ft2 Rugby 251 facility at Coton Park next to Junction 1 of the M6 motorway, which is owned by JingDong Property, the real estate investment and management arm of Chinese e-commerce conglomerate JD.com
THE SINGLE-storey facility consists a 235,267 ft2 warehouse with 15m eaves and 24 euro dock and three level access doors served by a 50m yard with 69 HGV parking spaces. It incorporates 15,000 ft2 of office space and has been built using a structural steel, multi-span portal frame. It has a BREEAM Excellent and an EPC A+ rating.
Construction contractor Winvic completed the build on a 60-week programme earlier this year.
Logistics Matters reported that Jingdong Property signed a development agreement with UK developer Newlands Developments for the delivery of the new 250,400 ft2 logistics facility at Coton Park, Rugby in June last year. Agents Cushman & Wakefield, Savills, Wallis Real Estate, and Lambert Smith Hampton, advised on the deal.
Joint letting agents for Rugby 251 were Lambert Smith Hampton and CBRE.
