THE ACQUISITIVE 3PL has taken a 15 year lease on two units developed by Hines as part of the Axis Portfolio. The units known as DVP196 and DVP152  comprising 195,678 ft2 and 152,728 ft2 respectively total just shy of 350,000 ft2 and together with three other deals reported by Logistics Matters so far this year bring the total let to Super Smart Services to 1.5 million ft2.

In August it was reported that the 3Pl had taken Barwood Capital’s 362,289 ft2 Nottingham 360 warehouse on Firth Way, Nottingham, while in in June it had secured year Evans Property Group’s 206,161 ft2 Link 205 warehouse at Fradley Park. Logistics Matters reported in April that the company had pre-let Indurent and PLP’s 644,900 ft2 M1XL warehouse for a contract with SHEIN. It is believed the company has other requirements in the market.

Joint letting agents were FHP property Consultants, Apex Real Estate and Newmark while Avison Young acted for Super Smart Service.

FHP Property Consultants’ Darren Severn said: “The units themselves provide high-quality warehouse and distribution accommodation with 12m eaves, level access and dock level loading bays, large delivery yards and qualify at BREEAM Excellent with EPC A ratings.

“With strong take-up throughout the year, there remains very little stock between 100,000 ft2 and 350,000 ft2 within our area. As a result, we hope to see the next wave of speculatively built units begin despite the uncertainty in the economy.”
