THE COMPANY has secured a circa.70,000 ft2 ft2 warehouse at Mileway’s 2-20 Napier Place in Cumbernauld as it rapidly rolls out its services following its soft launch in the UK in June.
The property totals 68,854 ft2 and has been recently refurbished. It consists of two parallel industrial warehouses of steel portal frame construction, separated by a generous secure yard and parking totalling 0.68 acres. The refurbished units include LED lighting, six electric roller shutter doors, and good quality office space.
The property is located adjacent to the M80 motorway, providing direct access to Central Scotland’s motorway triangle (M8 / M9 / M80) via Junction 6 (Castlecary).
Currently J&T Express is seeking a bilingual (Mandarin/English) Network Management Specialist to support the development and management of its Delivery Service Provider network across the region. JLL and Savills advised Mileway.
This is the fourth deal that has been transacted by J&T Express that Logistics Matters has reported following the company’s debut in June this year where it secured Marq Logistics’ MPS11 warehouse at the investor developer’s 15 million ft2 plus Magna Park Lutterworth scheme in the East Midlands where it negotiated a 10 year lease at a rent in the region of £10.25 per ft2. DTRE and Cushman & Wakefield advised on the letting of the 119,252 ft2 building.
Since then the $10 billion USD international delivery and logistics company has taken Cabot Properties’ circa.87,500 ft2 Cabot 87 warehouse in Kingsway, Rochdale in the Northwest and Unit DC6A totalling 83,840 ft2 at Prologis’ Prologis Park West London on a short term lease.
