Yale dashboard turns lift truck pedestrian detection data into safety insight
Warehouse managers can now view pedestrian detection events from their lift trucks on a single dashboard, using Yale’s Reliant Pedestrian Awareness Camera and the Yale Vision telemetry platform.

THE CAMERA identifies pedestrians within up to five metres of a lift truck and alerts the operator. It was developed using extensive real-world photographic data and is designed to recognise human features in a range of operating conditions.
When the truck is also equipped with the Advanced tier of Yale Vision Wireless Verification, detection events appear on the Yale Vision Pedestrian Detection Events Dashboard. Managers can see the number of events, their timing, proximity and location around the truck, plus operational context.
Yale says the aim is to tackle isolated data. Warehouses collect information from lift trucks, telemetry platforms and warehouse management systems, but an individual incident reveals little on its own. Viewed alongside fleet and operational data, events can show trends and recurring behaviours that are otherwise hard to spot.
The company says this allows operations to strengthen safety initiatives without compromising pace, and spend less time searching for information across separate platforms.
Yale says the value of technology lies not in the amount of data it generates but in the understanding it provides. Local independent Yale dealers can advise on the best-fit technologies for specific warehouse operations.
