TSP Fulfilment expands into Europe through Irish partnership

North East-based TSP Fulfilment has expanded into European fulfilment through a partnership with Ireland-based Eurobase, giving its e-commerce customers warehousing capacity inside the EU.

THE MOVE means UK brands can ship stock directly from wherever it is made and hold it in Europe ready for fulfilment, avoiding the cost and bureaucracy of post-Brexit customs processes on each order.

Paul Griffiths, chief executive of TSP Fulfilment, said: “The majority of our UK-based customers have ambitions to expand into Europe, and by using facilities physically based in the EU, we’re able to offer a practical way to support their expansion plans.”

The appointment follows a three-year search for a suitable partner, after TSP trialled operations in the Netherlands that did not meet its expectations. The two firms share a cloud-based technology platform, allowing customers to monitor inventory and sales performance in one place.

Julie Colclough, managing director at Eurobase, said the EU’s removal of its €150 duty-free threshold in July, and the new handling fees that replaced it, had made landed costs harder to predict. “TSP Fulfilment’s knowledge of UK compliance will also give European customers a secure route into the UK, just as our experience in Europe gives theirs,” she added.

The joint operation is open to UK and EU businesses seeking access to both markets.

TSP Fulfilment operates four warehouses with more than 400,000 sq ft of capacity and provides direct-to-consumer, B2B and Amazon fulfilment for more than 100 brands.
