Lidl begins recruitment for Luton RDC
THE NEW warehouse is due to open in 2023 will be the world’s largest Lidl warehouse. The build forms part of the discounter’s £1.3bn investment in Great Britain in 2021 and 2022.

When fully operational, the 1.2 million sq ft regional distribution centre in Luton will service more than 150 stores in London and the surrounding counties. The Luton distribution centre will support Lidl’s rapid expansion. In February the discounter opened 13 new stores across the country, including Hounslow, Burton-Upon-Trent and Blairgowrie.
The discounter has started recruiting for the warehouse and will be looking to fill a wide range of roles over the course of the next year, from warehouse operatives and operations managers to support roles in HR and Payroll. Lidl GB expects to create more than 1,200 new warehouse jobs by the end of 2025.
