About us

Prior to its official launch in 2006, Matrix was a family run business, supplying and servicing steam cleaning machines under the name Steam Clean UK. Then, with the help of two investors, it purchased the manufacturing capability of Dimplex. In 2014, the business fell back in the hands of the family alone.

Matrix Cleaning Systems is the leading UK manufacturer of a complete range of steam machines manufactured in Leyland, Lancashire. Offering an extensive range of 51 machines in many variations from light commercial 4.5 Bar pressure machines to the imported heavy duty industrial range with operating pressures from 8 – 10 Bar. All models are designed with automatic boiler filling systems for continuous water filling capacity, eliminating cooldown and reheat times.

The range of models feature steam only, steam and vacuum, steam and detergent or the complete solution steam, vacuum and detergent. Matrix Cleaning Systems can encompass all aspects of your steam cleaning requirements, including housekeeping, catering and leisure environments, contract cleaning, food manufacturing and specialist chewing gum removal solutions. As the UK’s leading steam cleaning manufacturer we are in the enviable position of having a greater degree of control over our product, offering quality, reliability, robustness and value. Matrix marks major milestone: making steam cleaning machines for a decade.

Another plus point is the company’s ability to supply machines ex-stock. Our steam cleaning manufacturing facility also holds a large quantity of stock which guarantees our ability to deliver large orders in a very short timeframe - a luxury not always available from internationally-based manufacturing companies, carrying over half a million component parts in stock, which ensures a reactive turnaround on both small and large orders. This offers a huge ability for growth and development.

The Matrix professional steam cleaning machines have some outstanding attributes and can deliver the solutions our customers are looking for. The machines have Water Technology List approval and are proven to kill bacteria and germs, the results of the tests are available in a microbiologist's report, which is why they’re so highly regarded by major blue chip companies within the private sector and the food industry as well as by professionals in the education sector and the NHS, and are ideal for dissolving grease & grime, as well as removing chewing gum whilst achieving a chemical-free clean.

Matrix started out, supplying within the UK only, but have grown both in size and status and are now well known globally, exporting machines to over 25 countries including Australia, Asia and The Middle East.

As well as the wide range of machines available from stock, Matrix also designs and builds bespoke machines for some of its key accounts; also offering own branding for global partners.
