Linde plays it safe
When it comes to safety Linde Materials Handling is reported to be at the forefront of the industry. In an example of this, Linde was approached by CRH, a leading building materials supplier, to help it improve the safety within its busy manufacturing facilities.
CRH was keen to work with Linde to develop a revolutionary automatic reverse speed reduction aid for its counterbalance forklift trucks. The application aids operators when reversing as it automatically slows down the truck when ultrasonic sensors are triggered.
In a further example, Linde developed a visual driving path warning device, which has been put to good use by Blue Print, a supplier of car parts in Kent, in creating a safer working environment for its employees. Linde’s BlueSpot has enabled Blue Print to improve visibility and safety in aisles as well as in the areas within the warehouse where truck aisles and pedestrian walkways intersect.
