Lighting costs cut

Lutterworth Ecolighting has cut annual lighting costs and CO2 consumption by more than 70% at beverage can manufacturer Rexam’s Milton Keynes distribution centre by installing a new energy saving lighting system.

Lutterworth Ecolighting specified its Industrial Hi-Saver with energy saving lamps for all areas, each with a built in programmable high bay PIR (passive infrared sensor) and daylight harvesting sensor. A total of 79 units have been fitted, which replace the existing inefficient metal halide discharge lights.

 

Annual energy consumption has been cut from over 237,000KWh to under 64,000KWh, with the CO2 footprint reduced from 105,000 to around 28,500kg.
