Get the quality you deserve

Making sure that industrial vehicles and on- or offroad equipment operate to the highest safety standards is priority number one for manufacturers, who are bound by regulations to ensure that their products are designed and constructed to meet all the relevant essential health and safety requirements (EHSRs) listed by the Health and Safety Executive.
BUT USERS of equipment can potentially encounter issues when it comes to the fitment and operation of aftermarket spares instead of genuine spare parts from the manufacturer. Counterfeit parts are of course to be avoided at all costs, as the consequences of using these components can be severe, leading to operational problems, unexpected downtime and even injury to personnel.
Making a strong case for sourcing genuine components from accredited suppliers is Robert Marshall, MD of Marshall’s Industrial, which is the official UK distributor for Hyundai industrial engines (previously Doosan), IMPCO Gaseous fuel systems, and which also provides technical and spare parts support for legacy Volkswagen industrial engines.
“As with most things in life, you get what you pay for, and cheaper non-genuine parts are a false economy for your valuable pieces of equipment. They can have a negative impact on warranty, they may damage other components and compromise on safety. OEM parts on the other hand can increase the longevity of equipment for improved ROI, and our team can also help with the identification and ordering of specific parts should there be any doubt.”
Using low grade products in any kind of machinery can pose risks, as the recently reported problems with LPG forklifts illustrates, and Marshall’s Industrial has been closely following HSE safety alerts after several reports of equipment catching fire. This is widely thought to be due to poor quality LPG fuel, which has led to deposits being left in the LPG regulator/vaporiser, necessitating repeated attempts at starting. This can flood the engines and result in the release of unburned LPG, which in the worst-case scenarios can ignite. “For anyone with concerns about this issue we would highly recommend regular inspection, servicing and replacement of fuel system components with only genuine IMPCO products,” said Robert Marshall. “Gaseous fuels are after all volatile and require appropriate measures to reduce risk.”
Marshall’s Industrial’s sales, engineering and development team has in-depth experience and expertise in the industrial engine market place and will be happy to help you with even the most complex technical issues you may face.
